Volunteer Finance Director

About MVP Task Force:

MVP Task Force is a crucial coordination effort dedicated to streamlining communications and

resources across our community to support the most severe cases of human trafficking,

sextortion, and child exploitation. Our mission is to combat these heinous crimes by mobilizing a

collective response, providing immediate assistance to victims, and working tirelessly to bring

perpetrators to justice. We are committed to making a significant impact on the lives of survivors

and contributing to a safer society.

Position Overview:

MVP Task Force is seeking a passionate and experienced Volunteer Finance Director to play a

pivotal role in our mission. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Volunteer Finance Director will be

responsible for managing the financial aspects of the organization, ensuring efficient resource

allocation, and driving financial strategies to support our anti-trafficking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Projections: Develop and maintain accurate financial projections based on the organization's goals, funding sources, and expenditure patterns.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and track cash flow ensuring the nonprofit’s financial stability, timely disbursement of funds for operational needs, victim support, and collaborative efforts within the community. Also contribute to the implementation of effective cash management procedures.
• Financial Planning: Engage in comprehensive financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, to support the organization's short-term and long-term objectives in collaboration with leadership.
• Financial Systems and Processes: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems. Contribute to streamlining financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Financial Strengths and Weaknesses Analysis: Conduct regular in-depth analysis of MVP Task Force's financial strengths and weaknesses, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies and recommendations.
• Strategic Financial Direction: Collaborate with the leadership team to propose strategic financial directions that align with the organization's mission and objectives. Provide recommendations on funding opportunities, cost-saving measures, and revenue generation initiatives.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, reporting requirements, and funding restrictions. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate on external audits. Support the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Grant Management: Assist in managing financial aspects of grant applications, including budgeting, reporting and compliance. Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper allocation and utilization of funds.
• Tax Compliance: Support efforts to ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations applicable to nonprofit organizations. Contribute to the coordination and preparation of annual tax returns.
• Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with other departments and external partners to coordinate financial resources effectively. Foster partnerships and collaborations to enhance the financial sustainability of MVP Task Force.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and financial analysis within the non-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of global financial regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial data and propose strategic solutions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to dedicate 5-10 hours every week

Fundraising Manager

MVP Task Force

Location: Remote

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Fundraising Manager to join our team

and lead the charge in securing critical resources to support our mission. You will play

a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative fundraising strategies,

cultivating relationships with major donors and grantors, and exceeding fundraising

goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with theorganization's strategic goals.
• Conduct research and identify major donor prospects, foundations, and corporate giving opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with major donors, including building rapport, understanding their philanthropic interests, and securing significant contributions.
• Develop compelling proposals and grant applications that effectively communicate the organization's impact and align with donor priorities.
• Manage and steward existing donor relationships, ensuring continued engagement and support.
• Oversee all fundraising events, including planning, execution, and follow-up.
• Track and analyze fundraising data, measure ROI, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage a fundraising budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in fundraising.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in fundraising, preferably with non-profits.
• Proven track record of exceeding fundraising goals in a competitive environment.
• Strong understanding of major donor cultivation and stewardship practices.
• Excellent grant writing and proposal development skills.
• Experience with donor relationship management (DRM) systems is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Data-driven and analytical approach with a focus on measuring results.

join our team and lead our efforts in building brand awareness, amplifying our impact,

and securing vital support for our mission.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers relevant to your cause.
• Craft compelling press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials to generate positive media coverage.
• Proactively identify and pursue media opportunities to raise awareness aboutthe organization's work and achievements.
• Manage media inquiries and serve as the organization's spokesperson for media relations.
• Oversee social media strategy and content creation to engage target audiences and build online communities.
• Monitor social media trends and conversations relevant to your mission and craft strategic responses.
• Develop and manage public relations campaigns for fundraising initiatives and special events (if applicable).
• Track and analyze the effectiveness of public relations efforts and measure the impact on brand awareness and support.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in public relations in the non-profit sector.
• Proven experience in media relations, including press release writing, media pitching, and securing media coverage.
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messaging.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with media contacts.
• Familiarity with media monitoring and measurement tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
