Guillermo Galarza is the Vice President, Partnerships & Law Enforcement Training at the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) in Alexandria, VA, USA. In this position, Guillermo is responsible for the law enforcement and criminal justice training program delivered worldwide, including identifying child safety technology platforms offered to law enforcement. ICMEC promotes the safety and well-being of children through activism, policy development, and multinational coordination and provides programs and initiatives base on national response plans.
For the past 27 years, Guillermo has managed international law enforcement training to investigate online child sexual exploitation. The training initiatives provide law enforcement, justice officials, and other experts around the world tools and techniques needed to investigate online child sexual exploitation. To date, more than 350,000 experts have attended courses around the world and have attended several courses online.
In addition to the oversight of the training programs as part of national strategies, Guillermo oversees ICMEC’s strategic partnerships with industry, governments, and international alliances. Before joining ICMEC, Guillermo started his career in 1996 at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as a global resource coordinator working on international child abduction cases.
